REMS Real Estate Value-Opportunity Portfolio

REMS Real Estate Value-Opportunity Portfolio is a long-short public real estate strategy that pursues value investments in:

• The common stock of publicly traded REIT companies;
• The common stock of Real Estate Operating Companies (REOCs) that are
  publicly traded but have not elected REIT status;
• The preferred equity securities of publicly traded REIT companies;

In addition, the strategy may take short positions in publicly traded companies in the real estate industry to take advantage of flawed business models, security overvaluation, and to hedge against index volatility.

During periods of positive fundamentals and yield spreads, the strategy may utilize leverage to capture attractive value and yield opportunities.

The maximum leverage permitted in REMS Real Estate Value-Opportunity Portfolio is 30% and the maximum short position is also 30%. The Portfolio is available both as a separately managed account and as a mutual fund.
